If this sounds like you, counselling using an amazing approach called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
can help...
Every one of us has experienced a low mood at some point in our lives. We may have awakened in the mornings, having the urge to roll over and go back to sleep, However, if the low mood refuses to lift and you feel you’re struggling to cope all the time, you may have depression.
Depression will affect 1 in 10 people at some point in their lives, but it is sometimes very hard to recognise that the reason your life has taken a nose dive is because you have depression.
Symptoms of Depression
Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain and affects everyone differently. The symptoms are wide and varied and can affect every aspect of your life. Some of these are:
Insomnia
Low mood
Feeling anxieties
Sense of hopelessness
Low self-esteem and lacking in self-confidence
Lack of energy; low motivation
Memory problems
Inability to concentrate
Highly sensitive to criticism
Extremely self-critical
Feeling withdrawn; wanting to be alone
Low sex drive
If you have depression, you may not even be aware of it. The hardest thing to do is admit to yourself that you are depressed and seek the help of a counsellor.
Unless you are going through an experience of grief, if you wake up in the mornings consistently feeling low, you are likely suffering from depression. Depression normally builds up over a period of time as you struggle through life bottling up all your bad experiences and bad emotions, such as fear, hurt, pain, and anger.
If you suffer from depression, you may have put on a brave face for years, and yet all this time, your emotional reservoir was gradually decreasing until one day you sank into depression.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that counselling can help with depression.
“I felt really stressed, emotionally upset & depressed when I first went to see Mo. Life had finally become too much for me to cope with. However after only one session I felt calmer, more at peace and could actually see light at the end of the tunnel!

About Moira (known as Mo) Counsellor and Emotional Freedom Practitioner
I have always been a good listener and have a talent for problem solving. I then discovered EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and realized that by using this technique, I could help people on a much deeper emotional level.
I soon started using it to help my friends & family cope with their day-to-day problems. The joy I gained from doing this was immeasurable. Eventually, I decided to specialize in Counselling and become an Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner, specializing in helping people overcome the effects of stress and depression.
My own experience of winning the battle against depression (many years ago) very soon made me realize that I have a special talent for tuning into people who are depressed and being able to truly empathize with them.
Having such a deep and personal understanding of depression puts me in the unique position of often being able to intuitively and accurately “intuit” or guess their feelings. I’ve found that clients appreciate this as they have reported that it has made me very approachable, and their sessions much easier and more comfortable.
Over the past 3 years as a counsellor, I have helped numerous people achieve emotional freedom from depression and other emotional problems and regain happiness in their lives.
