Colonic Irrigation

Colonic Irrigation can be performed to help with a variety of bowel problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, diarrhoea and Constipation but can also be used as part of a detox programme to aid cleansing of the body of excess toxins.

What is Colonic irrigation?

Colonic irrigation or Colon Hydrotherapy is a method of gently instilling warm filtered water into the colon via the rectum in order to gently cleanse the large bowel of excess waste and toxins

Benefits

Most people feel lighter following a colonic and find improvements in their skin and hair. Mny people find they suffer from less headaches and find their sleep patterns also improve. For people who suffer from constipation or irritable bowel syndrome, the action of instilling the water can actually help tone the colon and lead to more regular bowel actions although some people need a course of treatment to achieve this benefit. However, many people find an improvement in abdominal pain and bloating following just one colonic.

Does it hurt?

No, it is slightly uncomfortable but as a trained nurse working with bowel disorders I am used to dealing with rectal problems and will ensure that the procedure is as gentle and comfortable as possible. Most people are pleasantly surprised at how relaxed they feel during the colonic irrigation.

How much does it cost?

The treatment costs just £55 including the consultation. Appointments are available midweek, evenings and Saturdays.
